What is the standard limit for URLs in a single XML sitemap?
The official sitemaps.org protocol limits a single sitemap file to 50,000 URLs and an uncompressed file size of 50 MB. Sites with more than 50,000 pages must organize their URLs across multiple sitemaps declared within a parent <sitemapindex> master file.
Why are duplicate URLs in sitemaps detrimental to SEO?
Duplicate entries cause search engine crawlers to repeatedly fetch the same canonical path, wasting crawl budget and delaying the discovery of newly published or updated articles and products.
Should non-canonical or redirected URLs be included in a sitemap?
